HPE Proliant BL465 G8
Server Computer
"The BladeSystem c7000 or c3000 enclosures, which provide shared power, cooling, networking, and management, are intended for use with the HPE ProLiant BL465c Gen8 server blade during deployment. Compared to the c3000 enclosure, which only has space for eight full-width, half-height blade servers, the c7000 enclosure can vertically support up to 16 BL465c servers. Both enclosures can accommodate several blade server generations because they are backwards and forwards compatible.
Two alternative AMD chipset choices support up to two Opteron 6300 Series processors from AMD, each with up to 16 cores. Users can start with just one processor and upgrade to support two as their business requirements change.
DDR3 modules can be registered (RDIMM) or load-reduced (LRDIMM) on this platform. With two processors and 16 x 16GB RDIMM modules in every slot, the system can support up to 256GB of memory running up to 1600MHz. You may double the memory capacity to 512GB while operating up to 1333MHz by using LRDIMM modules.
A very competent server for many typical business applications, the HPE ProLiant BL465c Gen8 server blade also provides enterprise-class stability for the data center. This system uses AMD Opteron processors, which offer excellent performance at a lower cost than a comparable system using an Intel chipset and Xeon processors."
