Hitachi VSP G1000

The Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G1000 offers up to 4 million IOPS of performance and the industry's first 100 percent data availability guarantee. An enhanced, seventh-generation hierarchical star net architecture is present in the Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform G1000. The virtual storage directors (VSDs) in this architecture are distributed across the front-end directors (FEDs), back-end directors (BEDs), and cache, supplying immediate processing power without pause or interruption to maximise I/O throughput. The storage system offers roughly 6.8 PB of physical storage space. The storage system offers a physical storage capacity of about 8.1 PB when built with 14-TB FMDs.
