Hitachi HUS VM HM700

Storage Device
"New technology not present in earlier Hitachi Data Systems storage systems is currently in Hitachi Unified Storage VM block module storage systems. Using the same high-speed architecture, this technique enables the development of a smaller, more effective, more relaxed controller than the VSP controller. Based on a brand-new block storage system driven by a storage virtualization controller linked to the host servers and data discs, Hitachi Unified Storage VM HM700 is a virtual storage solution. Due to its dual node, and shared resource architecture, the storage system is redundant and can keep running even if a component fails. While the storage system runs, significant features can be added, taken out, and replaced without shutting down any devices. Additionally, upgrading the microcode without turning off the storage system is possible. The controller chassis is home to a service processor that monitors the storage system's working state. Remote maintenance is made possible by integrating the service process with a Hitachi service facility.
