The Hitachi Compute Rack 210H provides balanced performance, and high compute density and supports the Intel Xeon Processor E5-2600 product range. The Intel Xeon Processor E5 family, which has up to 2 CPUs and up to 8 cores each, provides exceptional computational power. Twenty-four slots of fast, DDR3-registered ECC memory DIMMs enable the installation of up to 384GB of shared memory (when 16GB DIMMs are used). Most memory-demanding applications, like virtualization, cloud computing, and high-performance computing, are handled via shared memory. Large amounts of local disc storage are provided by up to 6 front-side accessible, 2.5-inch serial-attached SCSI (SAS) drives with hardware RAID protection.
