Saturday Spotlight: Mason Woodrum

Mason Woodrum is a versatile intern who helps with many necessary things needed to keep thomastech moving forward. Just to give an idea of how versatile he is, he assists with anything ranging from marketing to finance. He adds a great personality to the office. We would love to share a little about him and his personality with you, so we asked him a few questions. Meet Mason!

What’s your typical day at thomastech like?

No day is similar to the other. It varies from creating graphics and social media posts in marketing one day, to entering sales orders or reconciling on QuickBooks the next. It makes each day interesting!

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

I have always wanted to go skydiving, maybe the boss will let me go during lunch one day! 

If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human needs—such as food and water—were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you?

A volleyball named Wilson to keep me company and probably a pillow so my neck doesn’t hurt when I sleep.

What is your favorite hobby?

Anything to do with Cleveland Sports. #Dan6erous

In 5 Words or less what advice would you give to someone in your profession?

Build lasting relationships when networking.

What do you like to do when you are not in the office?

I’m always either; going out with friends, or playing basketball.

No one, I love my position. I also have to go back to school soon, so I’m not trying to work full-time.

Saturday Spotlight: Jim Thompson

Jim’s specialty is connecting needs with solutions. He is knowledgeable about enterprise hardware and is ready to apply that knowledge to help IT professionals find solutions in enterprise hardware from various OEMs. He assists with servers, storage, and networking hardware. What’s your typical day at thomastech like?

Sell sell sell, LOL Problem solving and helping my customers solve theirs.

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

Retire in my own lake house.

Donate it to a zoo for others to enjoy… Does that count as give away???

Car

Learn as much as you can about what your selling, always be honest, and be patient.

Relax and hang with my kids and my dog Gemma.

Meet Greg Walker, one of the unsung heroes at thomastech! He keeps things moving and braves the summer’s hot temperatures to make sure that IT departments get their hardware. Saturday Spotlight: Andrew Champlin

Andrew is a tech at thomastech who works tech magic in the background, helping keep the wheels spinning. He is a friendly and versatile person with many skills and is often spotted in the halls with a steaming cup. To learn more about Andrew, we asked him a few questions. Here are his answers.

What’s your typical day at thomastech like?

Coffee and spreadsheets in the morning, and tea and everything technical in the afternoon!

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

Drive the Pacific coast from north to south in a convertible!

How would you solve problems if you were from Mars?

With a lot less oxygen than I do now.

What is your favorite hobby?

Traveling, photography, hiking, writing… wait, I have to pick just one?

Never stop learning!

What do you like to do when you are not in the office?

It’s a 50/50 chance that you’d either find me searching for new trails to hike or new coffee shops to try.

Saturday Spotlight: Isaac Royalty

In today’s Saturday Spotlight, we will be highlighting Isaac Royalty, a marketing graphics genius. He has been interning in the marketing department at thomastech where he puts his skills to work each week. To capture a little information on Isaac, we asked him a few questions. Some of them are more informative than others, and one we just asked to have a little fun. Meet Isaac!

What does an average day on the job look like for you?

“Typically, I do a lot of design and product photography. One of my main jobs has been taking photos of different systems and arrays we service. These all need edited and branded to add to our database.”

 

What are some things you do outside of the office?

“My favorite hobbies would be playing trumpet and basketball. Go Cavs!”

 

What is one thing on your bucket list?

“One thing on my bucket list would definitely be to climb mount Rishiri in Hokkaido, Japan. When I was there I got some great views of it, but unfortunately wasn’t able to visit it. Maybe next time!”

 

What are your opinions on garden gnomes?

“I personally think garden gnomes are creepy. Never have met one I liked.”

 

What advice would you give to somebody in your profession?

“Get input from others! Some of my best ideas have come from conversations I have had with coworkers and peers.”
